Ingredients

Chicken-800gms-1kg; cut into small pieces ), yogurt-180gms; beaten, red chilly powder-1tsp or to taste, salt, tandoori food color-1/4tsp, ghee-5-6tbsp, garlic paste-15gms, onion paste-250gms, ginger paste-15gms, tomatoes; chopped-150-gms, garam masala powder-1/2tsp, lemon juice to taste, ginger julienne and chopped coriander leaves for garnishing.


Cooking Method

Step 1.  Marinate the chicken pieces with yogurt, chilly powder, tandoori color and salt. Keep aside for 2-3 hours.

Step 2.  Heat ghee to smoking hot. Add garlic paste and stir-fry for few seconds. Then add onion paste and ginger paste. sauté over medium heat till golden brown. Add tomatoes and cook till tomatoes are soft and ghee separates.

Step 3.  Add marinated chicken along with its marination. Stir-fry on high heat for 10 minutes. Reduce heat and cook till chicken is tender and moisture dries up. Add garam masaala powder and cook on high heat till ghee separates.

Step 4.  Sprinkle lemon juice and remove from fire. Garnish with ginger julienne and coriander.

Step 5.  Serve with LACHHA PARATHA or PULAO or RICE.
