A light and fluffy deep fried south Indian delicacy which is made out of white lentil paste, ground/crushed spices, chili, ginger, onion and chopped herbs. Vada originates from south Indian states of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka but now it is popular all over India. Traditionally 'Vada' are prepared during festivals with other dishes. It looks almost like doughnut, a circle with a hole in the center. So you can say it is a salty and spicy Indian doughnut which goes well with samber and coconut chutney.
